Understanding and Walking in Your Authority

Updated: Jun 24

Let's open up with this: Luke 10:19-20

Scripture declares, “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven."

Pastor Todd spoke about authority and how it is not demanded but delegated. Authority is not taken but it is TRANSFERRED. As a follower of Jesus, you have the authority over all the power of the enemy.

Authority over every attack.

Authority over every problem.

Authority over every trial.

Authority over every enemy.

Authority over sickness.

Authority over depression.

Authority over divorce.

Authority over abuse.

But you have to choose to walk in that AUTHORITY. Here are a few things to keep in mind this week.

SUBMISSION UNLEASHES PERMISSION

In your submission he releases permission. When you submit to God’s will, He will permit you to use His name and walk in the authority of that name.

YOU ARE NEVER THE MINORITY WHEN YOU SUBMIT TO AUTHORITY

The moment you surrender your life to Jesus you are now under His authority. With that submission, He “puts on” his authority in your life. You're team Jesus!

Understanding and Walking in Your Authority as a Christian is empowering! Planting in a church home is so important to developing this. If you are not planted in a church, we encourage you to do so and would even invite you to check out Church Unleashed.

Have a great day! Walk in your authority!
